The Rotary Club of Morro Bay is renowned for its deep commitment to community service, local youth, and global initiatives. Celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2025, the club has a rich history of supporting education, health, and environmental projects.​

Notable Initiatives:

• Community Grants: In 2023, the club awarded $14,000 in grants to local organizations such as the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Estero Bay Kindness Project.

• Youth Support: The club provides scholarships to Morro Bay High School students and supports youth programs like the Interact Club, fostering the next generation of leaders.​

• Disaster Relief & Preparedness: Funds have been allocated for earthquake preparedness and disaster relief efforts, ensuring community resilience.​

• Environmental Advocacy: The club played a pivotal role in chartering the Eco-Rotary Club of Morro Bay, the third of its kind globally, focusing on ecological projects and sustainability.

• Annual Fundraisers: Events like the Ducky Derby and Surf 'n Turf Dinner have raised significant funds for local and international projects, including scholarships and community development.

• Holiday Traditions: The club hosts the Lighted Boat Parade and Rotary Santa's House, bringing festive cheer to the community while supporting local causes.
