Mission: to development and implement plans to support The Rotary Foundation through both financial contributions and program participation.

Rotary International in general and The Rotary Club of Morro Bay both have non-profit foundations that are specifically enabled to fulfill their motto of "Service Above Self".

The most well know is The Rotary Foundations (TRF).  The Rotary Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that supports the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs. It is supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world.

The Foundation was created in 1917 by Rotary International's sixth president, Arch C. Klumph, as an endowment fund for Rotary "to do good in the world." It has grown from an initial contribution of US$26.50 to more than US$117.9 million contributed in 2004-05. Its event-filled history is a story of Rotarians learning the value of service to humanity.

In addition, The Rotary Club of Morro Bay established its own non-profit foundation in 1992 specifically to support projects and scholarships identified by the Rotary Club of Morro Bay.  Its Board of Directors is comprised of former club president's and has, since being established, provided in excess of $100,000 in funds and scholarships to local students and communities.  The RCMB Foundation is funded by the Rotary Club of Morro Bay which, through its by-laws and continuing resolutions, contribute $5,000 or 20% of funds raised from their annual Central Coast Classic Golf Tourney.
