PROGRAM
Sabrina Robertson of Cuesta College Director of CTE Grants began the program with some introductions of her family, including children and pets (2 adorable dogs). She has been at Cuesta since 1998 and in her current position since 2008.  She shared that Cuesta interacts with the local high schools and has wonderful concurrent programs.  Sabrina also shared the concept of the dual enrollment program, a way to serve local students better.  She explained that Dual Enrollment is when a college class is embedded into the high school curriculum and held at the high school during the student’s high school day.  She also shared the Promise program which guarantees local high school students going to Cuesta for the 1st year is at no cost.  The program was made available through a donation from a local family.  She also shared that Cuesta is offering a Freshman Transition Course. She also shared what the future looks like at Cuesta – very promising.

CLOSING
The 50/50 pot was $146, Steve C. was the winner, but didn’t really win as the black chip reared its ugly head.
