FINING
Matt Franklin was fined for travel and fun, rightly so.
Nick fessed up to being married to the beautiful Becky for 31 years.

PROGRAM
Outbound Jocelyn Furtado and Inbound Holly Jacobson conducted the program regarding Rotary Youth Exchange.

Jocelyn, is traveling to Vego, Spain.  She shared that the process was a long one, especially the visa process.  She will be living with a host brother, mother and father in an apartment.  She is looking forward to the experience, working hard to earn the money as well as attend Rotary events.

Inbound Holly, who traveled from New Zealand back home.  She just got back from an 11 month experience.  She lived with 4 host families, 3 Rotarian families.  She went to an all-girls catholic high school where she had to wear a uniform, which she never was pleased about, but the experience was very beneficial.  She also shared that the people from New Zealand and Australia bicker quite a lot, based on a cricket match 30-some years go….sound familiar.

Holly also shared stories about her blazer that was filled with all sorts of pins from other Rotary Exchange students and places that she visited.  She also talked about the differences between the Rotary Club in New Zealand and in the U.S.

We then got a wonderful slide show from Holly-great job.

CLOSING
Carol reminded the club members that there were boxes to mail to the troops for $15.09 each and to please make sure they all were picked up today

We continued with the new process for the 50/50 pot is $237, Matt (again) had the winning ticket and had a chance to draw the white poker chip and win the pot, or draw the black poker chip and have the pot continue to next week – unfortunately  Matt was a loser and the pot was a winner.
